Insomniac Celebrates 30th Anniversary with Heart-Warming Documentary Reflecting on Rave Culture
DJs and musicians have come together in new documentary as Insomniac celebrates 30th anniversary.
Insomniac celebrates its 30th anniversary as a company with a new mini-documentary on the rave culture it has brought to the world in the last three decades. In the documentary, different producers, DJs, and musicians speak about their experiences at different events and how Insomniac has impacted the EDM scene for the better.
What started as an American electronic music event promoter and music distributor founded by Pasquale Rotella has flourished into an EDM empire. Over the years, the company has branched into different areas outside event promotion. Branching off from just promoting caused Insomniac Records and Insomniac Radio to be created. These platforms were created to attract undiscovered and established producers in the field.
A main selling point of Insomniac is it’s never been an event catered to profit, with the founder arguing that music festivals do not need “big acts who sell out arenas.” Positive fan experience has made Insomniac successful because they care about the innovative content created over profits and ticket sales.
In a promotional video for the event, many iconic DJs wished Insomniac a happy anniversary. With the likes of Timmy Trumpet, Jack Beats, GTA, Born Dirty, Afrojack, and many others who have performed at various events for the company, the musicians sent in a little video wishing Insomniac a happy anniversary for a promotional video,
Insomniac’s next event will be a New Year’s Eve party in Southern California for those 18 and older. The event will be a countdown to the new year with the theme of aliens titled “Attack of the Lazer-Rayz.” Tickets for the two-day event are currently available and can be purchased here.
Insomniac will continue to shine as a leading force in the EDM world with events that bring together different communities of ravers globally. The new documentary is available on YouTube at the link below, which is a deep dive into the innovative world Insomniac has created over the last 30 years.
