Watch Metro Boomin and A-List Guests Perform with Live Orchestra
A star-studded performance happened at the Dolby Theater as Metro Boomin and A-list performers graced the stage.
Metro Boomin brought some A-list guests out to perform at the Red Bull symphonic orchestra on Thursday at the Dolby Theater. To the audience’s surprise, the DJ welcomed Swae Lee, Nav, Roisee and John Legend to the stage to perform.
As Metro Boomin was DJ’ing, a live orchestra played alongside him as his guests sang different songs from the 2023 Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse soundtrack he executive produced. Partnered up with conductor Anthony Parnther, the Symphonic Orchestra reimagined a lot of his super hits like his collaborations with Kanye Wet, Future, The Weeknd, and 21 Savage.
According to Billboard.com, Metro told his fans that the night, “is a celebration. We celebrate music, we celebrate culture, we celebrate y’all for listening to this music and making it what it is.” With a total of 29 songs, the audience experienced a show where instead of Metro being in control of everything, he let the Orchestra take the reins.
Halfway through the concert, Roisee took the stage to perform “Am I Dreaming”, which was shortly followed by Swae Lee and Nav. The two performed a song titled “Calling” that had Swae’s auto-tuned voice contrasted to Nav’s robotic tone. John Legend came out near the end of the show to perform “Father Stretch My Hands, Pt. 1”.
Metro Boomin had a busy 2023 with the Spider-Man soundtrack and his Heroes & Villains festival tour run that ended this month. The acclaimed producer was also nominated earlier this week for nine different Billboard Music Awards like Top Hot 100 Producer and Top Soundtrack.
With an impressive year almost wrapped up, there isn’t much news for what the producer will be up to in 2024. Currently, he is set to headline Melbourne’s Now & Again festival. In the meantime, you can stream the Spider-Man soundtrack on all platforms now.
