Michael Bibi Shares Profound Message to Fans From Hospital During Solid Grooves Showcase
Michael Bibi shares a Heartfelt Message from Afar to Groovers at Solid Grooves in London.
In early June, Michael Bibi house DJ and Producer was diagnosed with cancer and it shook the EDM community. As a young artist with an extreme talent for creating minimalistic tech house bangers and creating a community of loyal fans and colleagues, Bibi has created an army of support and courage.
Hailing from London, BIbi created the label Solid Grooves with his friend and fellow DJ, PAWSA. This label has been home to many hits such as “Got the Fire,” Different Side,” and NYC hometown hero, Ky William‘s, “You & Me.”
Bibi was diagnosed with CNS Lymphoma, a rare cancer of the brain in early June. However, that has not stopped him from projecting his positivity throughout the community he created. Live from the hospital, Bibi gave “groovers” a beyond heartfelt message at the London show recently.
Projecting his words from the LED, Michael Bibi shared a message from the heart thanking and sending love to the thousands of Groovers who gathers at the docks on July 1. Touching, emotional, and transcendent, Bibi spoke from afar, leaving a message of hope and persistence.
“Groovers, it’s Bibi, just a message from me to thank you for the love and all the support I’ve received up until this point in my battle against cancer. It’s difficult for me to put into words how hard it is for me to not be there today to see everyone groovin’, see everyone smilin’, see everyone dancin’ when I first started Solid Grooves I never thought in a million years it would become what it has today, so thank you, from the bottom of my heart to every single person that’s been part of this journey and every single person that’s danced with us. I can only say thank you. I am fighting hard to be back with you soon as possible; to be back on the dancefloor doing my thing. One love, Bibi”
As groovers, fans or not, the message reminds us we’re all one. On the dancefloor and off, we are a community; supportive and whole. The very essence of rave culture is love, and we wish Michael Bibi well and a safe and healthy recovery!
