Spirit Motel Marks First Single in Five Years with “Home”
To fans’ delight, after a five-year hiatus, Spirit Motel has returned and is better than ever with a brand new single, “Home,” out this week.
Spirit Motel is back in the saddle with his latest single, “Home,” amidst a five-year intermission from releasing a piece of music. Noah Levinson better known as Spirit Motel first embarked on the scene with his debut self-released album, Congruence. The 2018 LP is an 11-track, 37-minute electronic marvel incorporating a caleidoscope of emotions through every lens. Unexpectedly, March 2020 hit us all quite hard including Noah. From Denver to San Diego, on a solo road trip, inspiration struck hard.
Subsequently, leading Spirit Motel to write his current single, “Home.” The future bass artist expressed his joy via Instagram. His post began, “Just released my first song in 5 years ✨ ”Home” is about my quest for solace in a time of uncertainty.” Most def 2020 brought out those feelings and thoughts across the board considering the global pandemic. “This is my favorite song I’ve ever written and represents my most authentic self,” the post read on.
Moreover, what a breath of fresh air for an artist to reinforce their authentic self in a society where self-expression is being questioned and repressed. The caption concluded, “I’m so happy to finally share it with the world 🔮” Accordingly, through the creation of music individuals truly share a portion of themselves. What a gratifying release after years of an uncertain self-landscape.
By the same token, the single is a reflection of the tempestuous journey of acquiring reassurance through the thick of physical and mental evolution. Prior to 2020 Spirit Motel was engaging in multiple facets of character development. In 2017 he was a concerts and festivals associate with Insomniac Events. Then the following year graduated from the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music in New York with a BFA in Music Business.
As a result, leading him to the next step in his intricate love affair with music. In 2021 he embarked on the next phase in his venture. Spirit Motel teamed up with his business partner who he also calls mom, Jobi Halper. Together they created High Ground Music Festival launching on October 2nd. The 18+ event reached new heights of success. Moreover, leading to a second year evolving from a one-day to a two-day festival.
Needless to say, Spirit Motel is on fire. From being a multi-instrumentalist to facilitating his own festival, the ski is the limit. Despite, the grievances 2020 brought him, he found the silver lining in an uncomfortable situation. Chiefly, the lyrics to the song at hand summed it best. “Home is where I want to be, is where I want to see, what you become. All I know is I want to go, Home.”
