Tchami Addresses Two-Month-Long Social Media Hiatus

Tchami explains his noticeable hiatus via an exciting Instagram update.

In a recent post to his Instagram, Tchami addressed his hiatus, and his months of inactivity on social media, specifically Instagram. The internationally renowned French DJ advised that he “quite frankly needed a break” from all social media and that he took this much-needed reprieve to invest in his music through other avenues.

He shared that he traveled to South Africa, France, and Europe during this time and that he met some wonderful people on his journey, albeit he was excited to return to the states.

In the caption of the Instagram video, Tchami gushed about his upcoming tour stop in Miami prior to Ultra. “Got a lot of new stuff coming up,” mused Tchami. “I’m very excited to be back on tour, see you first in Miami, [on] March 23rd [at Oasis, Wynwood]!”

In the video, Tchami explained that this pitstop is a Confession (his proprietary record label) party and that he plans on playing lots of Confession track IDs for listeners and fans.

For those that are planning to be in Miami for Miami Music Week, Oasis is a staple venue for EDM in the city. The venue is outside so there’s plenty of Fresh air, although it has multiple indoor bar areas for those looking to cool down. The outdoor space is surrounded by a variety of food trucks, which sell anything and everything from traditional Hispanic foods like empanadas to smoothies to vegan mushroom tacos to pizza and chicken tenders.

For those that are doing Ultra, Tchami will be headlining at Ultra’s premiere Main Stage. He will be playing a B2B with Oliver Heldens on Sunday, March 26th and it will be one for the books. Tchami is a regular at Ultra, playing last year in 2022 as well as prior to covid in 2019.

Heralding from sunny South Florida, I am a proud Florida Woman. In my free time, I surf the swamp, wrangle gators, open fan mail, and tend to my pets. In the wild, I'm most often spotted at immersive art spaces, step tappin' in a shadowed corner of the club, hater blockerz on, totally incognito as your resident EDM spice girl. Although I generally tout my spicy side, if there's one thing I'd love to impress upon the world, it would be this: it's not a waste to give love to those who do not deserve it – it's a gift. The world would be a better place if we gave, in kindness and in mercy, to those who need it most with no expectation in return.
