informal. continues to push boundaries with his latest single “follow you” ahead of his upcoming LA show.
Today, March 17, informal. has officially released his latest single “follow you”. After teasing several snippets of the track for weeks, fans can finally enjoy the full version of the song. “follow you” comes right after his earlier release this year, “stayin’ up (forever)”, which has quickly become a fan favorite.
As informal. continues to push boundaries within his unique production, “follow you” showcases a new side to the rising artist. While still incorporating several signature music styles such as his iconic upbeat bouncy rhythm. informal. has added suspenseful elements to take his listeners on an epic journey of tension and release.
informal. (Sam Richie) was born and raised in Sacramento, California but has made his way down to sunny Los Angeles. You don’t have to be a longtime fan to see all of the west coast influences that have been implemented into informal. production and artwork over the years. His latest EP ‘informal. beach club’ incorporates several beach elements such as ocean samples of waves crashing, seagulls flying, and beach parties.
When informal. isn’t playing shows he’s always working on his sound and future projects. The young producer has a total of twenty-two original singles in his discography. Additionally, he’s produced official remixes for Charlotte Lawrence’s “Talk you Down” on Atlantic Records, CHIMES’ “Find Suki” on Emprise Records, Covex’s “To Be Alone” on Moving Castle, and Aosmos and Akins’ “On My Mind” on BonFire Records.
Last but not least, informal. will be playing “follow you” live for the first time tomorrow March 18th, at the Peppermint Club in Los Angeles. The event will also be presented by Breaking Sound and Live Nation along with several other artists scheduled to perform.
