Spencer Brown Gushes Over “Idol” John Digweed in Celebration of Album Collab
The album collaboration of Spencer Brown’s dreams has finally come to light with his long-time idol John Digweed.
Spencer Brown is beside himself after his holy grail of album partnerships has come to fruition with beloved musical hero John Digweed. At the age of two, Spencer began drumming initiating his introspection of music. His interest continued to grow, and as a pre-teen, he began Djing and producing his music.
Starting as a fan of dance music this rooted in him the importance of passion and gratitude for other artists in the industry. Throughout the years he has worked with numerous superstars like Calvin Harris, deadmau5, Sasha, and many others. Without a doubt, his collaboration resume continues to prosper as he announced his newest conjunction with John Digweed.
“Cheesing my face off with another special full-circle moment,” began his Instagram post, depicting a celebratory photo op with iconic artist John Digweed. His genuine modesty and admiration can easily be seen. “Getting support from another one of my idols @djjohndigweedis indescribable.” Spencer was one of the many artists that contributed to John’s newest release.
The album, ‘Quattro 3,‘ dropped earlier this month on December 2nd on John’s label Bedrock Records. The album is an impressive five-hour plus with 51 tracks to explore. Other well-known artists like Miles Atmospheric, Charlie May, DNA Presents, and Aubrey Fry contributed tracks as well. Spencer’s song “Rising,” is the 37th track on the record.
The six-minute, 40-second, song was in collaboration with Ian O’Donovan and Satoshi Fume. Digweed created his legendary label Bedrock Records in 1992 with fellow artist Nick Muir. The British duo produced, “For What You Dream of,” a single released in 1993 featuring KYO. Subsequently, appearing on the 1996 soundtrack for the prolific British film, Trainspotting.
“I’ve learned so much through our chats, and to be releasing on his label @bedrockrecords is a dream come true,” he added to his post. It’s been quite a busy year for Spencer releasing three EPs, and three singles, not to mention performing on tour. Spencer’s next performance is on Saturday, December 17th in Los Angeles at Sound Nightclub. Tickets are still available, snag them up before it’s too late.
