Insomniac’s Skyline Returns with New Location in Los Angeles

Insomniac’s Skyline Los Angeles, the city’s largest techno and house event, moves its long-awaited second edition to iconic Exposition Park.

Insomniac recently announced that Skyline Festival, Los Angeles’ largest house and techno event, will be making its highly-anticipated return on February 25-26, 2023. Notably, Insomniac’s Skyline has upgraded its location to a bigger venue, namely the historic Exposition Park in downtown LA. Undoubtedly, the second installation promises bigger stages, more prominent names, and an audiovisual experience of a lifetime.

Founded in 1993 by the unconventional Pasquale Rotella, Insomniac has transformed the dance music landscape with its immersive art installations, elaborate stage decorations, and larger-than-life special effects. The LA-based company is also responsible for world-renowned festivals such as Electric Daisy Carnival, Beyond Wonderland, Okeechobee, and III Points. Skyline’s newest reinstatement is ultimately a testament to Insomniac’s undying commitment to delivering diverse and high-quality music events.

Last year, Skyline wasted no time coming in hot with an unbelievable collection of industry powerhouses. From the legendary Carl Cox to house music giants Chris Lake and Lee Foss, to international techno overlords Anfisa Letyago and Deborah de Luca, concertgoers enjoyed a lineup truly fit for royalty.  Skyline is the brainchild of Insomniac’s own techno powerhouse Factory 93 and house music shop Day Trip, so make no mistake – this roster was certainly no coincidence.

The event boasted such success last February that it expanded to Orlando for Memorial Day weekend – just three months after its monumental debut. Ultimately, the festival represents yet another push to bring dance music to the forefront.

Having grown up just an earshot from Ultra Miami's venue Bayfront Park, it was next to impossible for me not to fall in love with electronic music. My love for music was evidently strong enough for me to write my college essay on festival culture and continue attending Ultra for 10+ years now. I have always had a knack for writing and the power of words, which I continued cultivating through a Philosophy degree in college. Now a law school graduate, I eventually hope to merge my passions by working in music law. I am an avid traveler and am certainly not afraid to hop on a plane for a music event. My next bucket list festivals to attend are Tomorrowland in Belgium and Sonus in Croatia. Though the list could go on forever, some of my favorite artists include Franky Wah, Mochakk, Kevin de Vries, and Eli Brown.
