Chris Lake Captivates Portland at Sold-Out 45 East Show
Chris Lake has given Portland, Oregon another great night for house music for his energetic set at 45 East.
Chris Lake came to the city of roses and delivered a stirring and fun house experience at 45 East in Portland, Oregon. After performing in New York, Chris Lake came all the way to the west coast and played a sold-out show in Portland. Joining him on this stop was Black Book Records producer Miane and the local support was NIGHT CITY.
Many people showed up to support the female artist as she played a most fantastic opening set. Miane played many of her original songs including her latest tech house track “For One Night”. The transition from her final song to the beginning of Lake’s set was so smooth, that the switch-up seemed to happen effortlessly.
Chris Lake played many of his songs including “Turn off the Lights” and a techno rendition of “Drug From God“. He also played the VIP version of “Deceiver” and his classic song “I Want You” which was met with excited screams. He most surprisingly played the throwback song attendees didn’t know they needed which was a house remix to Sage the Gemini’s “Gas Pedal”.
The energy reverberated throughout the walls and everyone was smiling and moving and grooving, even the security guards. At the end of his set, the DJ stopped to take fans’ phones and stayed a bit after the show to take photos with them. You can really tell that an artist cares about their fans with just a simple act like this one.
This night was a class act for 45 East and another great night for house music for all Portlanders. The next stop for Chris Lake will be at Ellis Park in Adelaide, Australia. His latest release is his track “Nightmares” with Clonnee which was released back in May and can be listened to below!
