Watch Noisia Go B2B with Skrillex for Their Last Set Ever
Noisia plays B2B with Skrillex at Lowlands Festival in the Netherlands for their last set before they split after over 20 years.
Noisia the iconic Dutch trio which is made up of the producers Martijn van Sonderen, Nik Roos, and Thijs de Vlieger have played their final set. The group played together with Skrillex at Lowlands Festival for a wild yet heartfelt set that had the whole crowd jumping and going crazy. Lowlands was the last stop on Noisia‘s final Farewell tour.
The trio had announced in 2019 that they would be splitting up at the end of 2020, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the group decided to push that date back. They wanted the give their fans a Farewell Tour along with their final album “Closer”. The Farewell tour featured shows all around the world including Los Angeles, Washington D.C., New York, and many other cities across Europe.
Their final LP “Closer” was announced in April 2022 and features 20 songs that express all the different styles the group worked with over the years. There are many notable collaborations on the album including Skrillex, IMANU, Kamo & Krooked, The Upbeats, and many more talented artists.
Noisia was formed in the early 2000s and released its first track “Tomahawk” in 2003. The group had released a few songs under the name Drifter between 2005-2009 but decided it would be best to stick with Noisia so as to not confuse their fans. The group has worked with many record labels over the years and even produced music for video games and movies.
Noisia also created two of their own record labels over the years Vision Recordings which was created for their works in Drum and Bass. They also created Division Recordings which focused more on genres like house and grime.
As a final send-off at Lowlands, it only seemed appropriate for Noisia to bring out the Legendary Skrillex who has been a close friend and supporter of Noisia over the years. Noisia and Skrillex have collaborated on songs like Supersonic, OBSOLETE, and Horizon. The videos of the B2B showed the entire crowd going absolutely crazy for the final performance of Noisia. Noisia will be missed.
