Alison Wonderland marks first independent release in a decade with new single
Alison Wonderland has kicked off a new era with her new independent release “RESCUE U” alongside rising bass producer WINK.
Alison Wonderland is officially entering a new era. The Australian producer has teamed up with rising bass artist WINK for “RESCUE U,” marking her first independent release in more than a decade.
Released October 1 through FMU Records, “RESCUE U” brings together two different generations of bass music. Alison’s emotional songwriting mixed with WINK’s heavy production creates a banger of a track. His detailed sound design has quickly made him one of the scene’s most exciting young names.
The track starts on the softer side with atmospheric production and vocals before slowly building into something much bigger. Eventually, it explodes into a festival-ready drop that feels equally at home blasting through a massive sound system, your car speakers or a late night house party.
For Alison Wonderland, the release carries extra significance beyond the music itself. After spending more than a decade releasing music through labels, she is going independent again and putting more control behind her own creative decisions, with “RESCUE U” kicking off that next chapter.
WINK is also having a huge year of his own. The 21-year-old Northern California producer has already collaborated with RL Grime, played Niteharts and landed support slots for Subtronics, DJ Snake, Levity and Tape B while building his mix of trap, bassline and hyperpop.
The collaboration also came naturally, with Alison serving as both a friend and mentor to WINK. After already testing “RESCUE U” live and seeing strong crowd reactions, the pair have finally unleashed one of their favorite collaborations for everyone to hear. The track is out now on all platforms; take a listen!
