Roskilde Festival announces Tame Impala, Kacey Musgraves, and Caroline Polachek for 2027

Roskilde Festival has unveiled its first wave of artists for its 2027 return.

Roskilde Festival is already looking ahead to 2027, announcing the first 18 of hundreds of acts set to take the stage at the Danish festival next summer. The all encompassing lineup includes Tame Impala, Kacey Musgraves, Caroline Polachek, Patti Smith Quartet, Ezra Collective, Suki Waterhouse, Underscores, and more.

The 55th edition of the independent festival will take place June 26-July 3, 2027, just outside Copenhagen. Nearly 200 acts will ultimately join the lineup, with approximately 130,000 participants expected to attend alongside 27,000 volunteers.

The first wave showcases a wide range of sounds, generations, and genres. Tame Impala will headline the Orange Stage for one of only a handful of European festival appearances in 2027, while Caroline Polachek, Kacey Musgraves, and Patti Smith Quartet round out the artists known for pushing creative boundaries and using their platforms to advocate for social issues.

The full announcement also includes acts like Ezra Collective and Nu Jazz—that both infuse jazz into unexpected genres— and electronic artists G Jones B2B Eprom, and Underscores. Fans of punk and metal will enjoy performances from the Lambrini Girls, Drain, Neurosis, and Konvent. Norwegian hip-hop duo Karpe will also perform as part of their final-ever tour.

Beyond its thoughtful programming, Roskilde operates under a unique nonprofit model. The festival is organized by the Roskilde Festival Charity Society, with all profits donated to humanitarian, nonprofit, and cultural causes, particularly initiatives supporting children and young people. Since its founding in 1971, the festival has generated approximately €63.7 million for charitable distribution.

That mission extends into the festival’s choice for artists, with many of the newly announced performers using their music and public platforms to address issues including representation, LGBTQ+ rights, and artistic freedom. The result is a lineup that reflects Roskilde’s broader commitment to music, community, and humanitarian organizations.

Tickets for Roskilde Festival 2027 are now on sale, with full-week, one-day, and two-day options available.

Based in Denver now, or better known as the “Bass Capital,” but I grew up in a small town in Colorado called Montrose. I came to the big city for college and just never left. One day I reconnected with a friend from my hometown and she told me she was a drum and bass DJ and took me to a couple of her sets. It all snowballed from there. I fell in love with the DnB community and, later, the EDM community as a whole. I love listening to Subfocus, Rezz, Subtronics, and Griz. Hoping 2027 is the year for my first festival!
