Nocturnal Wonderland 2026 Delivered a Wild Weekend of Bass, House, and Rave Energy

Nocturnal Wonderland returned to Glen Helen Regional Park in San Bernardino on September 19 and 20, bringing its signature blend of electronic music, immersive production, and festival escapism to Southern California.

For its 31st edition, Insomniac assembled more than 80 artists across a wide range of electronic genres, creating a weekend that felt distinctly Nocturnal while continuing to expand the festival’s musical identity.

The 2026 lineup made it clear from the start that Nocturnal Wonderland was not interested in staying inside a single genre. Saturday featured major performances from deadmau5, James Hype, Deorro, Green Velvet, Malaa, NGHTMRE, SVDDEN DEATH, INFEKT B2B Virtual Riot, Kompany B2B Samplifire, and Hybrid Minds. The variety made moving between stages throughout the night feel like exploring entirely different festivals, with house, techno, dubstep, and bass music all represented.

Deadmau5 provided one of Saturday’s biggest moments, closing out main stage with a performance that brought his unmistakable sound to one of Nocturnal’s largest spaces. Earlier in the evening, James Hype and Deorro helped build the energy toward the finale, while Green Velvet and Patrick Topping offered a deeper house and techno experience elsewhere across the grounds. The programming allowed attendees to constantly change pace without sacrificing the festival’s momentum.

The bass side of the festival was equally stacked. INFEKT B2B Virtual Riot delivered a particularly notable combination, while NGHTMRE, SVDDEN DEATH, Sippy, Barely Alive, LAYZ, and Hedex kept Dawn Mountain moving through heavier territory. TroyBoi also brought his distinctive blend of bass, hip-hop, and electronic production to the stage, giving the weekend another stylistic shift. With so many artists occupying the heavier side of the spectrum, bass fans had plenty of reasons to spend hours at Dawn Mountain.

Sunday shifted the energy without losing the intensity. Illenium, Seven Lions, Said The Sky, R3HAB, and SIDEPIECE anchored the day’s larger performances, while artists including CHYL, continued the festival’s movement between melodic sounds, bass, and high-energy electronic music. Said The Sky’s sunset set offered a particularly fitting transition into the evening before Seven Lions and Illenium brought the weekend toward its conclusion.

One of the festival’s biggest strengths remained its stage diversity. Mystic Wild provided a home for melodic and dance-oriented performances, Dawn Mountain focused heavily on bass and drum and bass, Aurora Plains leaned into house and techno, while Rave Cave celebrated rave culture and breakbeat-driven sounds. Beatbox Boombox added another dimension with its own selection of artists and back-to-back performances.

That variety also made discovery a major part of the weekend. The result was a lineup where familiar favorites could sit alongside newer discoveries, giving attendees plenty of opportunities to move beyond their planned schedules.

Production continued to play an important role in the experience. Nocturnal Wonderland’s surreal environments, whimsical stage designs, and immersive storytelling complemented the music rather than simply serving as decoration. Set against the San Gabriel and San Bernardino Mountains, Glen Helen Regional Park provided a dramatic backdrop for the festival’s fantasy-inspired atmosphere.

Ultimately, Nocturnal Wonderland 2026 succeeded by embracing everything that makes the festival distinctive. From deadmau5 and Illenium to INFEKT B2B Virtual Riot and Seven Lions, the weekend delivered a lineup capable of satisfying multiple corners of the electronic music community without feeling disconnected. Across two days in San Bernardino, Nocturnal once again created a world where bass, house, techno, melodic music, and rave culture could exist side by side. The 31st edition closed another chapter in the festival’s long history while proving that Nocturnal Wonderland still has plenty of room to evolve.
