Timmy Trumpet opens up about recent separation in upcoming album

Timmy Trumpet celebrates a new chapter while transforming heartbreak from his separation into his vulnerable upcoming album, REVELATIONS.

Timmy Trumpet is opening up about his recent separation from his wife with REVELATIONS, a deeply personal 15-track album arriving October 23. The Australian DJ/producer shared the news through an emotional Instagram carousel. “Finally ready to let this go,” he wrote in the caption.

Across the post, Trumpet describes the split of a relationship that had shaped his life for years. He says fans followed their story closely, only to watch it disappear without explanation.

The sudden change left him struggling to function. He recalls finding it difficult to get out of bed, despite performing for thousands of people each night. “It’s a weird feeling standing on stage with thousands of people chanting your name and never feeling so alone,” he wrote.

Rather than continue releasing the festival anthems that built his reputation, Trumpet took a hiatus. He used songwriting as a form of therapy, allowing each chord, lyric, and breakdown to carry part of the healing process. The result is an album he admits fans may not expect. Instead of chasing the biggest drop, REVELATIONS appears focused on vulnerability, confusion, and recovery.

The record follows Trumpet’s 2020 debut album, Mad World, and marks a major shift in tone. That project featured collaborations with artists including R3HAB, Vini Vici, Scooter, and Gabry Ponte. The new album’s tracklist suggests a similarly broad collaborative scope. It includes appearances from Alle Farben, Frank Walker, John Martin, Moa Lisa, and Bow Anderson.

Trumpet has already previewed the project with “Chase The Feeling,” a euphoric house collaboration with Alle Farben featuring ALEXX. The song pairs an uplifting dancefloor sound with a message about moving forward. Trumpet says REVELATIONS is his way of answering questions he once had about his own life. He also accepts that some answers may never arrive. For him, the album is less about explaining every detail of his experience. If it helps someone feel less alone after losing love, he says, making it will have been an honor.

Having grown up just an earshot from Ultra Miami's venue Bayfront Park, it was next to impossible for me not to fall in love with electronic music. My love for music was evidently strong enough for me to write my college essay on festival culture and continue attending Ultra for 12 consecutive years (still counting). As an avid traveler, I'm definitely not afraid to hop on a plane for a music event. My current bucket list festivals right now are Tomorrowland in Belgium, Cercle Festival in France, Kappa Futur in Italy, and Sonus in Croatia. Though the list could go on forever, some of my favorite artists are Franky Wah, BICEP, Cassian, and Mochakk.
