Lady Gaga welcomes first child, daughter Rose Bean Polansky

Lady Gaga and her fiancé Micheal Polansky have welcomed their first child into the world, Rose Bean Polansky.

In truly heartwarming news Lady Gaga and her fiancé, tech entrepreneur Michael Polansky, have officially stepped into their newest and most profound chapter yet, parenthood. The baby girl named Rose Bean Polansky was born on June 9 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Keeping the arrival under wraps for months, the couple embraced a bit of quiet keeping away from the bright spotlights and world tours before news broke of the birth.

For fans across the globe, the arrival marks an emotional milestone for an artist who has been quite open about her desire to build a family. Having wrapped up career commitments earlier in the year, Gaga reportedly pivoted straight into the parental role. The couple’s transition into parenting comes after years of shared growth since first making their connection public in early 2020 and later confirming their engagement.

Music insiders quickly noted that the baby’s name serves as a homage to the important artistic moments that define Gaga’s career. The name Rose draws a direct line to Edith Piaf’s classic “La Vie En Rose.” A song in which Gaga delivered in the 2018 film A Star Is Born, and a motif she immortalized with a rose tattoo along her spine. 

Meanwhile, the unique middle name Bean pays tribute to Archbishop Carl Bean. He was a pioneering LGBTQ+ activist and singer whose 1977 gospel disco track laid the foundation for Gaga’s self-love anthem, “Born This Way”.

Those close to the pair report that Gaga and Polansky decided to step back from their high-profile industry projects to focus strictly on their newborn. Polansky, who collaborated with Gaga on her 2025 studio record Mayhem, has proven to be an unwavering partner in navigating the early days of newborn life, making quiet strolls and quiet evenings at home their top priority.
