Noisia to reunite for Amsterdam show after disbanding seven years ago

After seven years apart, Noisia have announced on Instagram that they are officially reuniting as a group.

In a reveal that has shaken up the global electronic music community, Dutch drum & bass outfit Noisia have officially announced their return. Exactly seven years to the day after deciding to disband the legendary trio, Martijn van Sonderen, Nik Roos, and Thijs de Vlieger broke their silence with an emotional statement posted across their social channels. They revealed that the legendary group is coming back together to create and perform once again.

When the trio originally chose to walk away from Noisia, they admitted they had reached a creative deadlock they felt could no longer be forced. Deciding to fully disband, the three producers pursued individual solo endeavors, side projects, and new creative collaborations. However, despite stepping away from Noisia, they remained close friends, working out of a shared studio building and continuing to run their celebrated record label, VISION.

Over time, the group admitted that the pressure that previously plagued the trio began to disappear. “Memories of joy, beauty, and mutual respect started to outweigh the shadows of the past. Mentioning that Noisia had lost its heaviness,” the group stated in their post. As they watched each other grow through their respective solo paths, old memories of joy, mutual respect, and pure artistic passion returned.

In their official statement, the group explained that their solo projects will now comfortably coexist alongside Noisia. The revived trio plans to revisit their vast back catalog, craft brand-new music, and test fresh material directly live in front of crowds to feed an interactive feedback loop before releasing official recordings.

To start this anticipated new chapter, Noisia will make their return to one of their most beloved venues, Melkweg in Amsterdam. Scheduled for December 4th, 2026, this historic homecoming performance marks the first official step of their reunion, with the group teasing that much more is on the horizon for fans around the world.

For drum & bass enthusiasts and bass music lovers everywhere, Noisia’s return is nothing short of monumental. As three of the most influential sound designers in modern electronic music history prepare to share the stage and studio once again, the scene eagerly awaits to see what groundbreaking sounds this next chapter will bring.
