Tiësto to perform trance set at Dreamstate Vancouver

Tiësto brings his iconic trance sound back to the Dreamstate stage in Vancouver.

Tiësto is returning to his trance roots. The electronic music icon will make his Dreamstate Vancouver debut Nov. 28 at TradeX in Abbotsford, British Columbia, where he is set to play a highly anticipated trance set. Following Tiësto’s Dreamstate SoCal performance in 2025, where he returned to the genre that helped establish his career, fans are eager to get more of the signature sound.

Known for his influential role in the early trance scene, Tiësto has spent decades evolving his sound. While his recent work has leaned more into house, pop, and festival favorites, his return to trance offers longtime fans a chance to experience a different side of the artist.

Before becoming the house name he is today, Tiësto built his reputation in the late 1990s and early 2000s through trance, releasing influential records, and performing at some of the genre’s biggest stages. His 2001 album “In My Memory” helped cement his place within the international trance movement and performances at events like the first edition of Tomorrowland further expanded his reach. Although his sound has continued to shift throughout his career, trance remains an important part of the foundation that launched him into the mainstream.

The lineup will bring together a mix of established trance artists and rising electronic acts. Joining Tiësto are English producer and composer Aaron Hibell, longtime trance DJ Dash Berlin, and platinum-selling artist Darude. Benwal, Matty Ralph, and Modeā round out the lineup, offering fans a range of sounds within the genre.

The event marks the third edition of Dreamstate Vancouver and follows a sold-out Cali installment. For the Vancouver edition, the brand will transform TradeX into a single-stage trance experience, bringing together artists spanning multiple generations of the genre.

With Tiësto revisiting the sound that helped shape his early career alongside a lineup rooted in trance, Dreamstate Vancouver is set to offer a full night dedicated to one of electronic music’s most enduring genres.

About The Author

Kinzey Gill

Based in Denver now, or better known as the “Bass Capital,” but I grew up in a small town in Colorado called Montrose. I came to the big city for college and just never left. One day I reconnected with a friend from my hometown and she told me she was a drum and bass DJ and took me to a couple of her sets. It all snowballed from there. I fell in love with the DnB community and, later, the EDM community as a whole. I love listening to Subfocus, Rezz, Subtronics, and Griz. Hoping 2027 is the year for my first festival!
