ILLENIUM Partners with End Overdose at Most Recent Red Rocks Event

Illenium’s Red Rocks performance featured a special partnership with End Overdose, the opioid overdose prevention company that works with festivals and shows to help save lives.

Illenium’s Red Rocks shows are always a hit, and this year he brought something extra important to the event. On August 19th, End Overdose made a special appearance, bringing their critical services to Red Rocks. End Overdose is known nationwide for bringing Naloxone to festivals and shows, supplying fans with training that can easily be applied to prevent overdoses.

The night proved to be a major success, reaching over 125 fans who were equipped with Naloxone and educated on proper overdose response strategies. Illenium is trained to administer Naloxone, encouraging fans to get certified through End Overdose. Illenium partnered with End Overdose at previous events like his SoFi Stadium shows.

Illenium openly talks about his own previous struggles with drug addiction, taking time to connect with the community and discuss a very real problem. He’s done livestream training, continuing to bring awareness to his fans and the EDM scene at large. Irresponsible use of substances is unfortunately a part of the electronic music scene, and rather than turning a blind eye, End Overdose and Illenium actively work to prevent such tragedies.

Many artists in the scene are actively working to make it a better place, encouraging ravers to be safe, use test strips, and look out for one another. Talks of sobriety are more and more common as health and wellness continue to merge with the rave scene, and while that may not be feasible for everyone, safe practices are surely a place to start.

Overdosing continues to be the number one cause of death for individuals aged 18-44, and companies like End Overdose are working hard to change that fact. If you aren’t already certified, check out End Overdose to complete the training today. It less than thirty minutes to complete, and afterwards, you only need to pay for shipping to receive Naloxone (administered nasally) and test strips. Alternatively, keep an eye out for End Overdose booths at upcoming shows and festivals to complete the training on-site.
