NGHTMRE teams up with Jordin Sparks to release drum & bass version of “No Air”
Pop nostalgia and electronic dance music collide with NGTMRE and Jordin Sparks’ new rendition of “No Air.”
NGHTMRE and Jordin Sparks are bringing a new twist to a timeless classic. The prominent electronic dance music DJ has teamed up with the award-winning pop icon for a drum and bass rendition of her 2008 platinum hit, “No Air.”
Available to stream now across all platforms, NGHTMRE’s remix keeps the emotional core of the original while giving it a melodic drum and bass update. Sparks’ vocals remain at the center of the remix, with piano chords and stacked synths, but with the new rendition, the chorus is driven by an energetic DnB rhythm, breathing new life into the song.

“No Air” has already become a major cultural staple with 688 million streams and peaking at #3 on the US Billboard Hot 100. The original track also earned a Grammy nomination for “Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals,” alongside MTV Video Music Award nominations including “Best New Artist” and “Best Female Video.”
Sparks is a multi-platinum recording artist and songwriter whose career has been marked by multiple trending songs and a plethora of awards, solidifying her place as one of the most influential voices of her generation.
This release of the remix builds on a viral moment from earlier this year after NGHTMRE’s ILLfest set in May, when surprise guest Jordin Sparks made a cameo during the live performance, setting the internet abuzz and triggering a surge of clips across social media platforms. The response was immediate, with multiple posts racking up more than 20 million views.
This collaboration follows NGHTMRE’s momentum from his recent release “Computah,” which surpassed 277k streams in less than a month. With a packed international schedule spanning major festivals such as Nocturnal Wonderland, Lost Lands, Breakaway, Bass Canyon, Wobbleland, Global Dance Festival, Unity Electro, High Stakes, and 808 Festival, NGHTMRE also has headline dates in cities including SILO Dallas and DPRTMENT in Toronto, plus a special guest appearance on SLANDER’s “The Voyager” Tour at The Armory.
The “No Air” remix proves that a timeless hit can be reimagined without losing what made it special in the first place. By pairing Sparks’ iconic vocals with NGHTMRE’s high-energy drum and bass production, the collaboration bridges pop nostalgia with the evolving sound of electronic music. Following the viral response to their live performance and NGHTMRE’s continued momentum, the remix arrives at the perfect time, giving longtime fans a fresh take on a classic while introducing the song to a new generation of listeners.
