GoFundMe launched for Qrion amid ongoing mental health battle

Friends are rallying behind Qrion with a GoFundMe to help the musician cover treatment costs as she works through a mental health crisis.

A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to support electronic musician Qrion, born Momiji, as she navigates a difficult stretch involving her mental health, according to the fundraiser page.

Qrion, who was born and raised in Sapporo, Japan, and is now based in Austin, Texas, records for the Anjunadeep label and has built a devoted following in the electronic music scene. She released her debut album, “I Hope It Lasts Forever,” through Anjunadeep and drew wider attention with singles such as “Your Love,” “Proud” and “Fireworks.” She has spoken openly in the past about her struggles with addiction and mental health.

The campaign was created by a friend who identified herself as Qrion’s best friend. She said the fundraiser is intended to relieve immediate financial pressure so Qrion can focus on her recovery. According to the page, contributions will go toward the cost of new medications and rent as Qrion works toward stability.

Any funds raised beyond those needs would help cover outpatient care, with the organizer naming the Hoffman Institute as the likely provider. The organizer said she is also considering setting up a Patreon page so Qrion can receive consistent, ongoing support from fans who “love and believe in her.”

In her message, the organizer thanked donors for their generosity and asked that those unable to give consider sharing the fundraiser or simply keeping Qrion in their thoughts during the difficult period. As of this report, the campaign remains active. Total donations and a specific fundraising goal were not listed on the page at the time of writing.
