Diplo confirms he had a fourth child after celebrating her birthday in Peru

Diplo shares family photos from Peru while introducing his daughter, who just celebrated her first birthday

Diplo confirmed that he has a fourth child, revealing the news somewhat casually while sharing photos from a recent trip to Peru. The DJ and producer posted a series of images from the trip on Instagram, including photos with his sons, his father and a young daughter celebrating her first birthday. The post marks the first apparent public acknowledgment from Diplo that he has another child.

The revelation is notable largely because Diplo has generally been public about fatherhood, but this particular part of his life had remained out of the spotlight. He is already a father to three sons, Lockett, Lazer and Pace, and has previously shared plenty of glimpses of his life with them. His latest post, however, quietly introduces a daughter who appears to have already turned one.

That makes the announcement especially interesting in the context of Diplo’s past approach to sharing major moments involving his children. When he announced the birth of his third child during the COVID-19 pandemic, he explained that he had not yet met the baby because lockdowns and travel restrictions had prevented him from getting there.

Years later, he has now revealed another child while reflecting on the importance of making time for family. Alongside photos of llamas, trains and Cusco, Diplo described watching his son experience Peru for the first time and reflected on how quickly children change.

The timing also follows another public fatherhood moment. In June, Diplo DJed at his son’s kindergarten graduation, turning what could have been a private family milestone into one of the more unexpected settings for one of the world’s most recognizable DJs.

At this time, there has been no public indication of who the mother is. Diplo also covered his daughter’s face with a heart emoji in the photo, keeping the focus on the family trip rather than making her introduction a formal announcement. After emphasizing how much he wanted to prioritize time with his family, Diplo ended his caption with a reminder that the break was temporary: “But now it’s time to get back to work.”

For me, the EDM scene has provided so much comfort and space to really find myself even amongst chaos. My first ever show was Zeds Dead and it truly changed my outlook on community and further affirmed my love for music. I am a basshead at heart but enjoy exploring new genres and artists. Being a writer for Exron has given me an amazing opportunity to learn more about the electronic music industry and I love being able to express myself creatively.
