Wasteland expands to Orlando with debut edition this February
Wasteland brings its Southern California festival to new turf with a Central Florida expansion that fans have been waiting for.
Wasteland, the hard dance music festival that started 11 years ago in San Bernardino, California, is making its way to Orlando, Florida, on Feb. 5-6, 2027. Over the past 11 years, Wasteland has established itself as a destination for fans of harder electronic music, helping bring genres like hardstyle and hardcore to a larger U.S. audience. The Orlando edition marks the festival’s first expansion beyond its Southern California home, opening the door for a new audience on the East Coast.
Wasteland will take over the Central Florida Fairgrounds with three brand-new stages, including takeovers by Insomniac’s own Basscon and Mutate brands, alongside an exclusive stage hosted by German promoter Unreal Germany. With a lineup of more than 40 artists playing the likes of hardstyle, hard techno, and hardcore, this addition will become Wasteland’s East Coast outpost.
This announcement comes at the perfect time, with hard-dance fans in Florida highlighting the lack of dedicated events in the area for the genre. Hard dance is an umbrella term for some of the fastest and highest-energy styles in the EDM community. Known for its tempo of 150+ BPM, powerful kick drums, and driving basslines, this style can vary greatly from melodic and upbeat to dark and aggressive. With a growing global following, especially across the U.S. and Europe, Wasteland Orlando will give Florida’s hard-dance scene an opportunity to experience the “epicenter of high-BPM sounds.”
With its Orlando debut, Wasteland is bringing one of the country’s biggest dedicated hard-dance festivals to a new market while giving Florida fans a festival built specifically around the genre. As anticipation grows for the East Coast edition of the festival, more details, including the full artist lineup, are expected to be announced soon.
Two-day General Admission and VIP passes will be available for presale on Thursday, Aug. 13, at 11:30 a.m. ET / 8:30 a.m. PT, with general on-sale following at 12 p.m. ET / 9 a.m. PT on orlando.wastelandfest.com.
