Head Trip 2026: Everything to know about Goldenvoice’s new festival
Goldenvoice has brought together electronic music’s biggest names for a one-time-only festival in the California desert.
When Head Trip first dropped its lineup, the internet nearly lost its mind. The lineup seemed almost too good to be true, with some fans even questioning whether the festival itself was real.
Head Trip is a brand-new, one-time-only electronic music festival taking over the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, on October 10 and 11. The grounds are best known as the home of Coachella, and Head Trip comes from the same promoter behind the iconic festival, Goldenvoice.
Unlike most electronic music festivals today, Head Trip is distinguishing itself with a single-stage format and no overlapping sets. Attendees won’t have to choose between artists or spend the weekend running from stage to stage. Instead, the crowd will experience the entire lineup together across two nights.
And the lineup is stacked.
Fans immediately flooded social media with reactions, calling it the “best lineup we’ve seen in a while,” “literally incredible,” and even asking, “Wait this lineup is God tier, is this a legit festival?”
Saturday, October 10, will feature Calvin Harris, Under Construction: FISHER and Chris Lake’s collaborative project, Peggy Gou b2b Four Tet, and Seth Troxler b2b Ben Sterling. Sunday, October 11, brings Swedish House Mafia, Skrillex, Dom Dolla b2b KETTAMA, The Blessed Madonna, and DJ Harvey.
Stylistically, the lineup reaches across several corners of electronic music while still packing serious crossover appeal. Massive global names like Calvin Harris, Swedish House Mafia, and Skrillex share the bill with artists like Four Tet, Seth Troxler, The Blessed Madonna, and DJ Harvey. The result is a lineup that bridges mainstream dance music with underground electronic culture rather than committing entirely to either side.
The production is also shaping up to be a major part of the experience. Head Trip tapped Romain Pissenem, founder of creative production company High Scream and a longtime force behind large-scale Ibiza productions, including work at Ushuaïa, to handle the festival’s production design.
Beyond the main stage, Floating Points will bring his custom-built Sunflower Sound System to the United States for the first time. The bespoke sound system will live inside a domed tent throughout the weekend, where Floating Points and special guests are expected to DJ.
What’s particularly interesting about Head Trip, however, is the history behind it. Goldenvoice has previously used the Empire Polo Club for similarly ambitious, genre-focused events. In 2016, the promoter debuted Desert Trip, bringing together The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Neil Young, Roger Waters, and The Who. Seven years later, Goldenvoice returned with Power Trip, a hard rock and heavy metal gathering featuring Metallica, AC/DC, Guns N’ Roses, Iron Maiden, Tool, and Judas Priest.
Now comes Head Trip. Desert Trip brought together rock legends. Power Trip turned toward hard rock and metal. Head Trip takes a similar concept and places electronic music at the center. Goldenvoice itself is keeping the message simple: “2 nights. One stage. Just this once.” If Head Trip truly remains a one-time-only event, those two nights in the California desert could become one of electronic music’s most memorable festival moments of 2026.
