Anjuna’s YouTube channel hacked after alleged phishing attack

Anjuna’s YouTube channel was briefly hacked after an alleged phishing attack, prompting unusual posts before the account was restored.

Anjunabeats’s official YouTube channel was compromised this week after hackers gained access to the account, leaving fans confused by a series of unusual community posts and notifications. The incident quickly caught the attention of the Above & Beyond community, with some taking to Reddit to figure out what was happening.

Screenshots shared by fans showed the hacker claiming, “I will delete all your content—don’t bother me. I’m only using it for three days, and then I’ll return your channel.” A follow-up post attempted to reassure subscribers, adding, “Don’t bother me; I won’t do anything to your channel—rest assured.”

As speculation spread, a Reddit account identifying itself as ANJUNAHQ responded to the thread, claiming the hack was allegedly the result of a phishing attack. The account wrote, “Yep we’re working on it. Some idiot at AnjunaHQ fell for a phishing email (it was me 😞).”

The candid response quickly earned support from fans, with many applauding the employee for owning the mistake instead of avoiding it. Others shared stories of similar phishing scams affecting their own workplaces, noting that social engineering attacks can catch even experienced professionals off guard.

Thankfully, the situation appears to have been resolved within a short time. Fans later confirmed the unauthorized user had been removed from the account, and Anjuna’s YouTube channel returned to normal shortly afterward.

Anjuna has not publicly shared any additional details about the incident or whether any content was affected during the breach. As of publication, the label’s YouTube channel appears to be fully restored.
