UNTOLD Festival reveals a ‘whole universe’ with new 2026 main stage design

Inside UNTOLD’s fantasy-inspired 2026 main stage.

UNTOLD Festival is quickly approaching, and organizers have shared a sneak peek at what fans can expect when the festival returns to Cluj-Napoca, Romania, from August 6–9 with the reveal of its 2026 main stage. The festival says this year’s design is bigger, bolder, and more spectacular than ever before. More than just an impressive structure, the stage is designed to immerse thousands of attendees in a world where music, storytelling, and visual production converge.

From the newly released render, fans can see an expansive wing-like structure stretching across the stage, glowing gold architecture, massive LED screens, and fantasy-inspired design elements. At the center sits a glowing circular emblem that resembles a portal, reinforcing the festival’s “UNTOLD ONE” theme. Storytelling has long been a defining part of UNTOLD’s identity, with each edition embracing an immersive fantasy world through its stage designs, visuals, and overall festival experience.

Elaborate main stage concepts have become one of UNTOLD’s trademarks over the past decade. Each year, the festival unveils a completely new design inspired by fantasy, mythology, and cinematic storytelling, helping establish its reputation as one of Europe’s premier destination festivals. The annual stage reveal has become one of the most anticipated moments leading up to the event, with each design pushing the boundaries of live production.

UNTOLD is consistently ranked among DJ Mag’s Top 100 Festivals and attracts hundreds of thousands of attendees from around the world to Cluj-Napoca each summer. The festival has played a major role in putting Romania on the global festival map, transforming the city into an international destination for dance music fans. Known for its walkable historic center, lively café culture, and vibrant nightlife, Cluj-Napoca becomes immersed in the festival atmosphere throughout UNTOLD week.

The 2026 edition will feature performances from Martin Garrix, Kygo, Carl Cox, Solomun, Jamie Jones, Marshmello, Sting, Lewis Capaldi, Flo Rida, and many more across eight stages. While electronic music remains the foundation of the festival, UNTOLD has become known for its diverse lineup, blending dance music with pop, hip-hop, and live performances to create one of Europe’s most unique festival experiences.
