John Summit’s Experts Only event at UNVRS Ibiza ends in chaos after power outage

Fans left waiting as John Summit’s Experts Only event gets canceled after a major power disruption impacts UNVRS Ibiza.

John Summit’s latest Experts Only residency show at UNVRS Ibiza came to an unexpected end after a power outage forced the venue to cancel Monday night’s event. The disruption happened during the second-to-last date of Summit’s weekly residency, which has brought Experts Only to the island every Monday since June.

According to attendee reports shared online, power interruptions began shortly after the venue opened, with music repeatedly cutting out as staff tried to restart the show. Some guests already inside the club said they waited for hours with little information before the cancellation was announced. Others still waiting outside said they were told the event was continuing, only to later learn it had been called off.

Summit later addressed the situation on Instagram Stories, explaining that the cancellation was caused by a local power outage rather than an issue at the venue. He confirmed ticket holders would receive refunds through their ticket providers. At the time of writing, neither Summit’s team nor UNVRS has announced a replacement date.

The incident comes as Ibiza has experienced several electrical disruptions in recent weeks. Local reports have documented outages affecting different parts of the island during periods of high electricity demand. Attendees also noted that other venues in the San Rafael area experienced similar power issues that same night, suggesting the outage extended beyond UNVRS.

Although the cancellation interrupted one of the residency’s final dates, Summit’s summer schedule has remained busy. Just five days later, Experts Only returned to Tomorrowland with its own stage takeover, bringing the brand back to one of dance music’s biggest festivals.

Summit is now set to close out the UNVRS residency on July 27, giving the series one final night after the unexpected interruption. Between sold-out Ibiza shows, an Experts Only takeover at Tomorrowland, and performances on some of the world’s biggest stages, 2026 has continued another major chapter in his career.
