Kyle Cooke eyes $250K payday from upcoming DJ tour

Kyle Cooke’s DJ tour is booking bigger stages and bigger paydays — but it may be costing him something he didn’t see coming.

Reality television Kyle Cooke’s DJ career is expanding rapidly on Bravo’s “In The City,” with a new manager projecting he could earn around $250,000 from an upcoming tour that includes 14 gigs and headlining performances at major venues, including Hakkasan Nightclub in Las Vegas.

A dozen of those gigs are already booked for January, February and March, friend Gavin Moseley announced to Cooke’s social circle during a preview of the series. “I’m headlining,” Cooke said, calling the Hakkasan booking a “big deal.”

The tour has created friction in Cooke’s marriage to Amanda Batula, who said she had no idea about the venture. “This man is planning his future without me in it,” Batula said, adding that Cooke’s actions contradict his stated efforts to prioritize their relationship. Castmate Lindsay Hubbard noted that Cooke “never tells her things in private.”

Cooke attributed the communication breakdown partly to Batula’s recent move into her own apartment. He told producers the new living arrangement gave him “a little more freedom to make money doing something I enjoy.” He added that going his own way felt “freeing” but also left him discouraged.

Cooke’s DJ career has been a recurring point of tension on Bravo’s “Summer House,” with Lindsay Hubbard and other castmates previously criticizing him for not including Batula in his decisions. His performance schedule continues with stops at Bernie’s Beach Bar and Bounce Beach Montauk in the Hamptons, before a September return to Las Vegas at Marquee Nightclub.

Cooke has said his musical interest dates to high school, when he played mix CDs at house parties. He has also expressed a desire to move beyond DJing into music production, citing an upbringing steeped in music and instruments. “In The City” airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on Bravo and streams the next day on Peacock.

I've been writing, covering events, and doing interviews with Exron for nearly four years, but have been an EDM-lover for over a decade. The music community and industry has a special place in my heart and I love exploring the depths. EDC Las Vegas is my favorite festival and this year will be my sixth time attending. Some other recent festivals I've been are Ultra, Elements, Lost Lands, Electric Forest, and Arc. I've been getting more into experimental bass, but techno and house will always have my heart. <3
