Angrybaby celebrates one year sober

Angrybaby has celebrated one year of sobriety after turning a one-month challenge into a life-changing journey on and off the stage.

Electronic producer Angrybaby has reached a major personal milestone, sharing that he is officially one year sober. The artist opened up to fans on Instagram, saying he normally keeps personal topics private but felt this was an experience worth talking about.

According to his post, the decision wasn’t sparked by a major life event. Instead, he simply wanted to challenge himself after realizing he had been drinking almost every weekend since turning 18, whether it was during college, nights out with friends, or while performing at shows.

He originally planned to stop drinking for just one month, which happened to line up with one of his tours. While the idea made him nervous at first, he said that fear made him realize it was probably the right time to make a change.

The adjustment wasn’t immediate. Angrybaby admitted those first few sober shows felt strange, but over time he found himself enjoying performances even more, waking up without rough mornings, and feeling much more motivated once the weekend was over.

He also shared that the lifestyle change helped improve the way he spoke to himself and approached everyday life. What started as a simple 30-day challenge slowly turned into a full year, something he never expected when he first made the decision.

Fans quickly filled the comments with messages of support, congratulating the producer on the milestone and thanking him for being open about his experience. While the post wasn’t meant to be a dramatic announcement, it’s a reminder that small personal challenges can grow into life-changing habits, both on and off the dance floor.

Hey everyone, I'm Neil! I first joined the dance community back in 2019 when my friend dragged me to Moonrise, my first-ever music festival, and I became hooked ever since. I like to dabble in most genres with my favorites being tech house and melodic techno. When it comes to studio output, Camelphat is part of my daily listening rotation and for a live performance, I'll never miss a Solomun set. You can likely catch me on the dance floor somewhere in Brooklyn!
