Zeds Dead open Journey of a Lifetime Tour with four-show Denver run and surprise Of The Trees b2b
Zeds Dead kicked off their Journey of a Lifetime Tour in fitting fashion over Fourth of July weekend, complete with merch pop-ups, a Red Rocks double-header, and a surprise b2b with Of The Trees.
Zeds Dead kicked off their Journey of a Lifetime Tour in fitting fashion over Fourth of July weekend, selling more than 30,000 tickets across four Denver events in three days before closing the celebration with a surprise b2b alongside Of The Trees.
The Denver takeover included two sold-out nights at Red Rocks, the annual Backyard Jamboree, and two Hangover sets at Mission Ballroom, marking one of the biggest weekends of the duo’s career. Across all four events, the Deadbeats label heads sold more than 30,000 tickets.

The shows also introduced the largest production Zeds Dead has ever toured with, expanding on the visual world of ‘Return to the Return (of the Spectrum of Intergalactic Happiness)’ through its new “Channel Flipping” concept. The main event began Thursday night with the first of two performances at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Friday closed out the Red Rocks run before the celebration shifted to the rest of the weekend’s events across Denver.
Saturday brought Deadbeats’ beloved Backyard Jamboree. More than just a concert, the annual event has become known for its hot dog eating contest, backyard games, and laid-back festival atmosphere. For its fifth edition, the Jamboree moved to Denver’s Auraria Campus after being held at Civic Center Park in previous years.
The Backyard Jamboree lineup featured a stacked lineup of artists from across the Deadbeats orbit, including a special Caspa b2b Distinct Motive set in direct support of Zeds Dead. Although the duo closed the show with a mix of IDs, classics, and dubstep anthems, they clearly had one more surprise in store for the Hangover Set at Mission Ballroom later that night.
Fans arrived at Mission Ballroom expecting a surprise b2b, but few were prepared for the artist Zeds Dead brought onstage: Of The Trees. Within moments, social media was flooded with names like “Dead Trees,” “Of The Dead,” “Zeds Trees,” and just about every other combination fans could dream up for this once-in-a-lifetime b2b.

Like Zeds Dead, Of The Trees has become one of the most in-demand artists in bass music. The surprise b2b marked Zeds Dead’s fifth set of the week, and topped off an incredible 4th of July run for the duo.
This past week once again proved why Zeds Dead remains one of dance music’s most sought-after acts. More than a decade after the release of ‘Northern Lights’, the duo continues to draw fans who have been with them since the beginning while appealing just as strongly to a new generation of listeners.
Fresh off the release of ‘Return to the Return (of the Spectrum of Intergalactic Happiness)’, they’ve also given fans 14 new tracks packed with long-awaited IDs, fresh collaborations, and the unmistakable sound that has kept them at the forefront of electronic music for years.
