Steppa Sound Fest faces calls to remove Yheti from lineup amid renewed allegations
Steppa Sound Fest is facing criticism after fans called on organizers to remove Yheti from its lineup following renewed attention surrounding past allegations against the producer.
The backlash against Steppa Sound Fest came to light after survivor and advocate Caeli Higgins urged fans to boycott the festival, alleging organizers blocked her after she privately raised concerns about Yheti’s inclusion on the lineup.
In a public statement shared to social media via her Instagram account @ragegrrrls, Higgins alleged that Yheti falsely claimed he saw her the morning after she says she was sexually assaulted in an attempt to discredit her allegations against Tull. Higgins disputed the claim, alleging Yheti was performing in another state that night, and said he continued making false statements even after dozens of other individuals came forward with allegations against Tull.
Higgins, who founded the @evidenceagainstspacejesus Instagram account in 2020, has spent years advocating for survivors after accusing Space Jesus, real name Jasha Tull, of sexual abuse. In a 2025 interview with Perfect Harmony, she also alleged that Yheti used his platform to publicly attack and smear her while she faced harassment, threats, and online abuse after coming forward.
The social media post quickly sparked renewed debate within the bass music community, with many commenters criticizing Steppa Sound Fest for keeping Yheti on the lineup and urging organizers to reconsider the booking. Others questioned whether the festival’s organizers were previously aware of the controversy. Some argued that other festivals, such as Secret Dreams, have been booked Yheti and that Steppa Sound was facing unfair criticism, to which Caeli responded that those events were called for boycott.
Additional commenters pointed to separate allegations previously made against Yheti by his former partner, Honeybee. Higgins had posted about the allegations when they came to light in 2025.
As of publication, Steppa Sound Fest has not announced any changes to its lineup or publicly addressed Higgins’ allegations that she was blocked after contacting organizers.
