Amelie Lens reveals second pregnancy and upcoming tour plans

Techno star Amelie Lens embraces growing family while keeping a packed festival schedule.

Amelie Lens has announced that she is expecting her second child, sharing the exciting news with fans on Instagram. The Belgian techno star revealed that she and her husband, fellow DJ and producer Sam Deliaert, better known by his stage name Farrago, are expecting another baby girl this winter.

The heartfelt Instagram post featured a carousel of intimate family moments, including photos of their daughter Kiki placing her hand on Lens’ baby bump and the family spending time together. In the caption, Lens wrote, “Kiki can’t wait to meet her little sister this winter,” giving fans a glimpse into the family’s excitement as they prepare to welcome their newest addition.

Lens and Deliaert were together for more than a decade before marrying in the summer of 2022. The couple welcomed their first daughter, Kiki, in December 2023, and have largely kept their family life private while occasionally sharing meaningful milestones with their followers.

Over the past few years, Lens has spoken openly about her journey into motherhood. She has admitted that she once resisted the idea of having children, citing fears surrounding childbirth after hearing difficult stories and seeing dramatic portrayals in movies. She also worried that becoming a mother would force her to choose between raising a family and continuing her career as one of techno’s most in-demand artists.

Instead, Lens has become an example that the two can coexist. Throughout her first pregnancy, she continued performing at major festivals around the world, demonstrating that motherhood does not automatically signal the end of a successful touring career. Her openness has resonated with many women, particularly those working in the electronic music industry.

Despite announcing her second pregnancy, Lens is not slowing down. She is set to maintain a busy touring schedule throughout the summer with appearances at Kappa FuturFestival in Italy, Awakenings Festival in the Netherlands, Tomorrowland in Belgium, and HARD Summer in Los Angeles, among other events.

Lens continues to show that it is possible to balance a thriving career with family life, inspiring a new generation of artists who no longer feel they must choose between the two.
