Purple Disco Machine cancels upcoming tour dates due to severe tinnitus

Purple Disco Machine has announced the cancellation of his summer tour while recovering from tinnitus and sudden hearing loss.

Fans hoping to see Purple Disco Machine this summer will have to wait a little longer. The German dance music star announced that he is canceling all scheduled shows through mid-July due to serious hearing issues known as tinnitus. This is a common concern for touring DJs who are exposed to loud music constantly.

Known for his disco-inspired sound, he has released fan favorites like “Hypnotized” and “Substitution”. His energetic sets have made him a regular on festival lineups around the world, and fans are already looking forward to his return later this summer.

In a message shared on Instagram, Purple Disco Machine said he has been dealing with tinnitus and sudden hearing loss over the last three weeks. While tinnitus is something he has lived with for the past 25 years, he said it has never been this severe before.

The producer explained that he is following his doctor’s advice and taking time off to recover. He called the decision difficult, especially because he hates letting down fans who were planning to attend his upcoming performances.

Despite the setback, he remains positive about the future. Purple Disco Machine said the situation is temporary and that his main focus right now is giving his ears the rest they need. He hopes to return to touring in mid-July.

The artist also thanked promoters, team members, and partners for their support. He said everyone involved has been understanding during a challenging time and expressed gratitude for the encouragement he has received.
