Paco Osuna celebrates the arrival of new baby with wife Melanie Ribbe
Paco Osuna enters a new chapter as he welcomes a baby with Melanie Ribbe.
One of techno’s most respected veterans is entering fatherhood while continuing to operate at the highest level of his career.
Paco Osuna recently shared the news on Instagram, posting a photo of his hand, his wife’s hand holding their newborn son’s hand. The Spanish DJ captioned the image, “Today marks 3 months since you came into our lives, we are totally in love with you and your joy. Mom and Dad love you infinitely.”

Osuna is married to Melanie Ribbe, a German-born DJ, producer, and founder of Agápe Musik. The two have become one of techno’s most recognizable couples, each building respected careers within the underground electronic music scene.

Ribbe also referenced their son in a heartfelt Instagram post on May 5 following her return to the stage after an extended break. Reflecting on her performance at Sunwaves Festival, she wrote, “My first show back after a long break, only for @sunwavesfest because it’s my favorite festival and my family. This set was dedicated to our son.”

Born in Barcelona, Spain, Osuna began his professional DJ career in the mid-1990s. One of his earliest major milestones came in 1999 when he secured a residency at Amnesia Ibiza, one of the island’s most iconic clubs. Over the years, he has become known for his groove-driven, highly technical style and is widely regarded as one of the artists who helped establish techno’s long-term presence in Ibiza. Rather than relying on massive festival drops, Osuna’s sets are celebrated for their precision, storytelling, and constantly evolving energy behind the decks.
The arrival of his son marks a significant personal milestone in Osuna’s three-decade career. At 51, the veteran DJ continues to maintain a demanding international touring schedule while embracing a new role as a father.
Electronic music has long been associated with youth culture, late nights, and life on the road. However, artists like Osuna represent a generation proving that careers in dance music can evolve rather than expire. Fatherhood does not signal the end of the journey. Instead, it marks the beginning of an entirely new chapter.
