Acraze celebrates 6 months of sobriety

Acraze has proudly shared his six-month sobriety with fans, a major personal milestone as he keeps building momentum in 2026.

Acraze just shared a massive milestone: six months of sobriety. In an Instagram post, the house producer opened up about how he used to drink to calm his nerves before shows. Nonetheless, he’s loving how good life feels without it.

The change has brought better sleep, more creativity, and a much happier headspace. That kind of honesty hits differently coming from an artist whose career has been built on late nights and constant temptation. He also thanked the people around him for keeping him grounded, a subtle nod to his TV-star girlfriend Andrea Carmona.

For fans, Acraze has always been tied to a very specific moment in dance music. His breakout came with “Do It To It,” the Cherish-sampling hit that turned him into a global name. But this update shows a more human side of the dance artist.

Acraze did not dress his post up or try to make it sound inspirational. He just sounded relieved, grateful, and amused about avoiding all the hangovers. A lot of people know what it is like to lean on something that no longer fits, then slowly realize they are better off without it. Acraze’s message echoes that sentiment and feels genuinely positive.

Thanks to this newfound lease on life, Acraze is pushing ahead musically. In 2026, he has several tour dates across the U.S. and New Zealand. His next show lands June 27 at Pacha New York, one of the most iconic dance venues reimagined.

Acraze’s move toward sobriety parallels a broader shift in dance music. More and more more artists are speaking openly about mental health and the pressure of life on the road. Acraze’s update lands as a small but encouraging reminder that progress can be quiet, too.

Having grown up just an earshot from Ultra Miami's venue Bayfront Park, it was next to impossible for me not to fall in love with electronic music. My love for music was evidently strong enough for me to write my college essay on festival culture and continue attending Ultra for 12 consecutive years (still counting). As an avid traveler, I'm definitely not afraid to hop on a plane for a music event. My current bucket list festivals right now are Tomorrowland in Belgium, Cercle Festival in France, Kappa Futur in Italy, and Sonus in Croatia. Though the list could go on forever, some of my favorite artists are Franky Wah, BICEP, Cassian, and Mochakk.
