Inside ANOTR’s new album release ‘Withness’

ANOTR have released their third studio album, ‘Withness,’ out now via their No Art imprint.

ANOTR has spent the last several years expanding beyond typical club tracks. Beginning with incorporating live instrumentation and songwriting into projects like 2025’s ‘On A Trip,’ now with ‘‘Withness,’ they are channeling their now-signature “open mic” approach with expansive melodies into a project designed around one central idea: togetherness through dance music.

‘Withness‘ is inspired directly by the crowds from their recent world tour. If you saw them live, you might recognize some of the tracks, only now with more refined and rebuilt versions, resulting in what ANOTR describes as their most dancefloor-focused album to date.

“We really wanted to have a wide variety of songs that we can play out and create moments,” the duo shared. “Every track needed to make sense wherever people come together to dance.”

In an Instagram post celebrating the album’s release, ANOTR revealed that the project’s direction began to take shape while reflecting on On A Trip.

“After experimenting with different genres and songwriting styles, we wanted to return to our club roots while bringing along everything we learned from the previous two albums,” they wrote. “The main thing we wanted was simple — let’s make people dance.”

ANOTR continued their collaborative “open mic” studio approach by inviting contributors to experiment with melodies and lyrics freely. The result can be heard throughout the album’s standout moments, including the title track, “Do It With Ya,” and the uplifting “Paradise.”

“Withness is an album that’s meant to be shared together – dancing is fun and it’s even better when you get to share those moments with your withness,” they wrote via Instagram.

The album art cover is also inspired by togetherness and unity. “The album cover is inspired by that same feeling – every dot holds a memory or a moment being made, like all these little pieces coming together into one bigger story,” wrote ANOTR.

Hi, I’m Lily! I’m an LA-based concert & festival diehard! My life was forever changed after my first festival, Coachella 2019, and then fully spiraled (in the best way) after my first EDC in 2023. I have attended over 140+ shows... I am the ultimate stage hopper and will always make it to the barricade. I love dubstep, house, trance, techno, bass, you name it. If I’m not at a show, I’m working as a social media manager & photographer, or probably listening to music, learning how to DJ, planning my next festival, or watching a Gordon Ramsay cooking show with my cat. I am so excited to be writing for Exron and sharing my love for music. If you're reading this, thanks for being here and reading my stuff!
