Family searches for missing man ahead of Bonnaroo 2026

Bonnaroo has successfully reunited a missing festivalgoer with his family after the festival community helped spread awareness.

The Bonnaroo community came together this week after concerns spread across social media regarding a missing attendee named Trevor. Family members and friends turned to online festival groups after losing contact with him shortly before the event, hoping fellow attendees could help locate him.

According to a post shared in a Bonnaroo Facebook group, Trevor disappeared from his Airbnb in Nashville without notifying his group where he was headed. He reportedly left behind his phone but still had access to his car and festival wristband, making it difficult for loved ones to track his whereabouts or communicate with him.

The message quickly gained attention among festivalgoers, who shared the post across multiple social media platforms. Trevor’s brother explained that it would be his first Bonnaroo and expressed concern that, without a phone, Trevor might have trouble reaching anyone to confirm he was safe.

As the post circulated, members of the Bonnaroo community offered suggestions and assistance. Some encouraged festival organizers to check whether Trevor’s wristband had been scanned at the entrance, while others shared the information in hopes of increasing visibility throughout the festival grounds.

Fortunately, the story ended on a positive note. Festival media outlet Festive Owl later provided an update confirming that Trevor had been located. The post stated that he was safe, back in contact with his family, and no longer considered missing.

The incident served as a reminder of the unique sense of community that exists within the festival world. While large-scale events can sometimes make it difficult to stay connected, the rapid response from fellow attendees demonstrated how quickly music fans can come together when someone needs help.

Hey everyone, I'm Neil! I first joined the dance community back in 2019 when my friend dragged me to Moonrise, my first-ever music festival, and I became hooked ever since. I like to dabble in most genres with my favorites being tech house and melodic techno. When it comes to studio output, Camelphat is part of my daily listening rotation and for a live performance, I'll never miss a Solomun set. You can likely catch me on the dance floor somewhere in Brooklyn!
