Afrojack shares shocking story of near-fatal car accident

Afrojack’s road trip turns dangerous after flying metal strikes a vehicle on a US highway during the celebrity-filled Gumball 3000 rally.

Afrojack has revealed details of a frightening road incident that nearly ended in disaster while traveling through the United States and Mexico. The Dutch producer was riding alongside content creator Vikkstar and driver Nick Fuso when a large piece of metal struck their vehicle, becoming lodged in the windshield just inches from the driver’s seat.

Videos shared by Afrojack and Vikkstar show the aftermath from inside the car, where the metal object remained stuck in the windshield after impact. According to Vikkstar, the debris was kicked up by a vehicle traveling ahead of them before crashing into their car. The footage highlights just how close the object came to entering the car.

The most alarming detail is where the metal landed. The object struck directly in front of Fuso, who was driving at the time, and stopped only a short distance from reaching him. Had it fully penetrated the windshield or injured the driver, the situation could have escalated into a far more serious accident. Instead, Fuso maintained control of the vehicle and safely brought the situation under control.

The group was traveling as part of Gumball 3000, the annual international rally known for bringing together celebrities, creators, and automotive enthusiasts on a multi-city journey. Their route took them through the southern United States and into Mexico, with several event stops planned along the way. 

Despite the damage to the vehicle, the trip continued. After the car was towed, Afrojack and his team received assistance that allowed them to stay on schedule and continue their journey south. The producer and Vikkstar later appeared in Monterrey, where they both performed. 

Following the incident, Afrojack reflected on how fortunate he felt to walk away unharmed. While sharing footage from the scene, he expressed gratitude for his family, friends, team, and the people who helped them continue their trip. The experience served as a reminder of how quickly things can change, turning an ordinary drive into a moment none of those involved is likely to forget.
