Zomboy attributes recent disappearance to wedded bliss

Zomboy has revealed he married creative director Ini Hanfmann while returning to Never Say Die Records with his new track, “Bromance Is Dead.”

Zomboy’s new track “Bromance Is Dead” just went live, but romance is alive and well for Zomboy. The Dubstep legend has finally revealed why he has recently been keeping a low profile, and it’s because he got married.

Zomboy shared the news in a short and sweet Instagram post, featuring a simple white text message on a black background: “Sorry I’ve been a little quiet… I just got married.”

The announcement was brief and low-key. Zomboy perfectly captured the exciting and heartfelt energy by simply sharing the good news. No lengthy caption and no wedding photos were revealed on Zomboy’s channels; all that was shared was a simple explanation to provide some context for fans who may have noticed the producer stepping away from the spotlight in recent months.

This week also marked the release of ‘Never Say Die Vol. 7,’ the latest compilation from the legendary Never Say Die Records. Zomboy appears on the project with his new track, “Bromance Is Dead,” helping usher in the label’s long-awaited return.

Never Say Die, founded by Skism in 2009, helped define an entire generation of dubstep. The label played a pivotal role in shaping modern dubstep and launching the careers of many of the genre’s biggest artists. These artists include Zomboy himself, Eptic, Must Die!, Trampa, and more. Never Say Die remains one of the most beloved labels in bass music, and we are welcoming the reunion with open arms, along with the rest of the bass head community.

Zomboy’s beautiful bride is Ini Hanfmann, a German creative director, movement director, and executive producer. She has contributed creative direction for many major global artists, live broadcasts, and television productions, making the newlyweds the ultimate creative power couple.

While the wedding announcement is probably not a signal of a full-fledged comeback, Zomboy fans at least now have some new music to enjoy. Congratulations to Zomboy and Hanfmann on their marriage and this exciting new chapter.

Hi, I’m Lily! I’m an LA-based concert & festival diehard! My life was forever changed after my first festival, Coachella 2019, and then fully spiraled (in the best way) after my first EDC in 2023. I have attended over 140+ shows... I am the ultimate stage hopper and will always make it to the barricade. I love dubstep, house, trance, techno, bass, you name it. If I’m not at a show, I’m working as a social media manager & photographer, or probably listening to music, learning how to DJ, planning my next festival, or watching a Gordon Ramsay cooking show with my cat. I am so excited to be writing for Exron and sharing my love for music. If you're reading this, thanks for being here and reading my stuff!
