Lost Lands seeks harm reduction staff for 2026 Support Squad

Lost Lands is seeking dedicated harm reduction staff to ensure a safe environment throughout the three-day prehistoric-themed music festival.

Lost Lands has once again placed community care at the forefront of its festival experience after opening applications for its beloved Support Squad program ahead of the 2026 edition. Returning to Legend Valley this September, the bass music giant has continued its commitment to harm reduction by recruiting a new team of festival ambassadors dedicated to helping attendees stay safe, hydrated, and informed throughout the weekend.

The initiative has become a familiar and respected presence within the Lost Lands ecosystem over the years. Rather than simply serving as event staff, Support Squad members have acted as roaming sources of assistance, offering guidance, water, directions, and emotional support whenever needed. In a festival environment fueled by earth-shaking bass and marathon dance sessions, having a friendly face nearby has often proven just as valuable as knowing where the nearest stage is located.

Organizers have announced that accepted applicants will take on paid roles during the event, arriving before the festival begins and remaining on-site through its conclusion. Candidates have been asked about previous customer service experience, harm reduction knowledge, and their ability to handle long shifts while maintaining positive energy. ADA-accessible positions have also remained available, reinforcing the program’s focus on inclusivity and accessibility.

The Support Squad has become an important extension of Lost Lands’ broader wellness efforts. Alongside a dedicated Safe Haven space, team members have helped create an environment where attendees can seek assistance without hesitation. While the festival is famous for colossal dinosaur-themed production and bone-rattling dubstep drops, organizers have recognized that community support is just as essential as the lasers and pyrotechnics.

The program’s success has extended beyond Ohio as well. Similar efforts have appeared at Excision’s companion festival, Bass Canyon, helping establish a culture where safety and enjoyment coexist. As festival attendance continues to grow, initiatives like Support Squad have demonstrated that harm reduction can be practical, approachable, and woven naturally into the event experience.

Lost Lands 2026 has already generated excitement with performances from Excision, ILLENIUM, Subtronics, NGHTMRE, Liquid Stranger, and Ganja White Night. But while the lineup promises plenty of neck-breaking moments, the Support Squad has ensured that the festival’s most powerful force remains something much simpler: people helping people, preferably before anyone forgets to drink water for six straight hours.
