Carl Cox to perform at 2,000 year old cave in Croatia

BSH Events will welcome Carl Cox to Cave Romane, bringing one of electronic music’s most influential artists to the historic Croatian venue.

BSH Events, the acclaimed summer series, Carl Cox, and High Scream are coming together to present an unforgettable show at Croatia’s remarkable 2,000-year-old Cave Romane on August 7.

BSH Events is one of the most influential electronic music promoters in Croatia and the Adriatic region. Their tagline is, “Shaping the Sound of the Adriatic.” What makes them different is that they start with an incredible location and transform it into a dance music experience, allowing the venue itself to become part of the story. In a world where many festivals look increasingly similar, BSH has built a reputation around creating experiences that can only happen in Croatia.

The venue for the August 7 performance is one of Europe’s most unique event spaces. Cave Romane was formed through centuries of excavation and is located in the Istrian landscape near Vinkuran, far removed from traditional clubs and festival grounds. Its vast limestone walls create a natural echo and a cinematic setting for the dancefloor.

Carl Cox will be one of the most established and influential figures to ever perform at the venue. He is one of those rare figures where “legend” is not an exaggeration. Emerging during the late 1980s rave movement, Cox rose to prominence at a time when most DJs mixed on two turntables. He became known for his innovative three-deck mixing style, establishing himself as one of the most technically gifted DJs in the world. Very few artists can credibly say they have helped shape electronic music across multiple decades, but Carl Cox can. His ability to move seamlessly between house, techno, and acid while continuing to embrace new sounds has kept him relevant globally to this day.

High Scream is a London-based creative production company known for bringing artists’ and brands’ visions to life. Founder Romain Pissenem’s philosophy is that every show should tell a story rather than simply provide a stage for a performer, making High Scream a fitting partner for an event of this scale. The company works with the natural environment and enhances it through laser mapping, lighting, and large-scale visual installations that bring the cave to life while preserving its raw identity.

BSH Events has assembled a strong summer season, including its Gates of Agartha collaboration in early June and events featuring Amelie Lens and Black Coffee at Pula Arena in July.
