Portola Music Festival leans heavily into dance music with 2026 lineup drop

The fifth edition of Portola brings together Swedish House Mafia, DOG BLOOD, Robyn, Zara Larsson, Four Tet, Tiësto, Soulwax and more.

Goldenvoice has officially unveiled the lineup for the fifth edition of Portola Music Festival, returning to Pier 80 on September 26-27 with one of its most dance-focused lineups to date. 

The lineup brings together veterans like Tiësto, Fatboy Slim, Groove Armada and Soulwax alongside new favorites including Four Tet, Overmono, Mochakk, KETTAMA and horsegiirL. Other big-name headliners include Robyn, DOG BLOOD, Swedish House Mafia and Zara Larsson. Despite only five seasons running, the 2026 lineup further cements Portola’s reputation as one of North America’s premier music festivals.

Another standout will be the return of DESPACIO, the legendary immersive sound system experience created by James Murphy, the Dewaele brothers of Soulwax and sound engineer John Klett. The lineup also features Tove Lo, Skepta, Kelela, SG Lewis, Parcels, Channel Tres and a special DJ set from Spice Girls icon Melanie C.

SF locals can also find some iconic and emerging local talent represented on this year’s lineup. Bay Area legend DJ Shadow will celebrate 30 years of his groundbreaking album “Endtroducing…..,” while rising local names erika b2b sfcowboy and the Program Audio collective will be making their debut.

Portola’s dance-heavy lineup isn’t happening in a vacuum. Goldenvoice is undoubtedly following the global trend of adding more and more dance music. According to the 2025 IMS Business Report, electronic artists accounted for 18% of lineups across the world’s top 100 music festivals in 2024, up from 13% in 2021. This broader shift is happening everywhere, and Portola is following the trend but also leading it with huge names on the 2026 lineup.
