John Summit says he’s ‘scaling back shows’ after his CTRL ESCAPE Arena Tour
John Summit has revealed plans to slow down his touring schedule after his CTRL ESCAPE arena tour and take more time on life off the road.
John Summit is gearing up for the biggest tour of his career, but he’s already thinking about what happens when it’s over. In a recent Billboard interview, the DJ and producer said he plans to scale back on shows after finishing his upcoming CTRL ESCAPE arena tour and take some much-needed time for himself.
The tour kicks off on October 1 and runs through December 5, hitting 22 cities across North America. Fans in places like New York, Fort Worth, Miami, Chicago, Montreal, Washington, D.C., and Boston will get to see Summit bring his CTRL ESC album to some of the biggest venues he’s ever played.
Even though the tour hasn’t started yet, Summit admitted he’s looking forward to slowing down afterward. Between festivals, club gigs, and headline shows, he’s been on the go for years and said he’s ready for a break from the constant travel.
That break could also mean a long wait for new music. Summit said his next album probably won’t arrive for another two to three years because he wants to take his time and not force the process.

During the interview, he also talked about making CTRL ESC and how he wanted the album to show growth as a producer. Instead of only focusing on club tracks, he pushed himself to try new ideas and create something that felt bigger than his previous releases.
The interview covered plenty beyond touring, including the growth of Experts Only and the business side of his career. Summit also opened up about investing heavily into his Madison Square Garden show, saying it wasn’t a profitable event but one he believed was worth doing. For him, creating unforgettable moments and reaching new milestones has been just as important as the financial side of success.
