EDC Las Vegas 2026 marks 30 years with its most ambitious edition yet

EDC Las Vegas 2026 proved the electric sky is only getting bigger and more ambitious with no signs of slowing down.

There’s something about EDC Las Vegas that hits differently every single year, and the 30th anniversary celebration reminded me exactly why it remains the top festival in the US. From the moment I walked through those gates and felt the bass shake the floor with the desert sky lighting up, for my sixth time, I knew this was going to be a special one. Three decades in and Insomniac is still finding ways to raise the bar.

I spent a good chunk of my time wandering the art installations, which was a big part of my festival journey this year with so much to explore. The sheer scale and creativity on display across the grounds is a reminder that EDC is much more than a music festival. It’s truly a sensory universe.

When it came to stages, I mainly found myself at Circuit Grounds, Bionic Jungle, and Quantum Valley. My favorite sets were Vintage Culture and the Peggy Gou b2b KI/KI at Circuit Grounds. Both performances were high energy from start to finish. When you looked around everyone was completely locked in and lost in it. You could feel the magic of EDCLV when everyone was vibing.

Production-wise, this year was on another level which was perfect for it being the 30th anniversary. The drone shows were genuinely jaw-dropping with full blown choreographed shows with some shooting fireball cannons and an interactive alien invasion show. The fireworks were also bigger than ever. Creativity towards production was pushed to new limits.

It felt like the future. And then there were the hanging performers on the Kinetic Field sign, which were hands down one of my favorite visual moments of the entire weekend. Watching them move through the air with the light and music swirling around them was chilling.

One of the weekend’s unexpected highlights was the World Party Parade, which had such an infectious, celebratory energy that I found myself grinning ear to ear the whole way through. It felt like a fitting tribute to 30 years of community and culture, and I’m genuinely excited to see how it grows from here.

More of my favorite sets were over at Quantum Valley, Mathame and Kream both delivered amazing, hypnotic sets that felt perfectly suited to the stage’s atmosphere. The GRiZ b2b Wooli set was pretty epic too at main stage. It was an absolute party and the collision of bass and funk was unique at Kinetic.

Perhaps the most cinematic moment of the weekend was watching Beltran when he DJ’d from the production booth during up to 60 mph winds. That image of a DJ holding it down while the desert tried to reclaim the festival felt like pure EDC mythology in the making.

The new Neon Garden stage deserves a special shoutout. The overhead lighting design, those wild swirling red squiggles cascading above the crowd, was perfect for the techno tunes. It had a Time Warp, almost alien quality to it. The open layout was also a welcome change from the enclosed tent setup of years past.

The crowds were extremely big, but honestly it felt more organized this year than in the past. The flow of the grounds seemed more intentional. But the stages were packed to the brim for big sets.

EDC Las Vegas 2026 was a full-circle moment for a brand that has grown from a warehouse party into one of the most iconic events on the planet 30 years later. And somehow, it still feels like it’s just getting started. With next year’s event rebranded as Dusk Till Dawn and expanding to two weekends, the question on everyone’s mind is just how big this thing can get. The comparison to Tomorrowland isn’t a stretch. If anyone can build a multi-weekend destination edm festival experience that rivals other big international contenders, it’s Insomniac in the Nevada desert. The electric sky is evolving, and I cannot wait to see what comes next.
