Cascade Equinox postpones 2026 festival and offers full refunds

Needing additional preparation time leads Cascade Equinox to postpone 2026 festival and shift focus toward 2027 return

After two years of establishing itself within the Pacific Northwest festival circuit, Cascade Equinox Festival has announced that its 2026 edition will be postponed until 2027. Organizers shared that the decision was made in order to allow additional time to properly prepare the experience before returning to the Deschutes County Fairgrounds on September 17-19th, 2027.

The Oregon based festival confirmed that attendees who already purchased tickets for this years edition will have the option to request a full refund though an online form before the June 10th deadline. Those who decide to keep their passes instead will have them automatically transferred for next year alongside a complimentary VIP upgrade with no action necessary on the attendees part.

While postponements can create uncertainty among attendees, the festival’s decision to issue refunds while also offering upgraded passes for returning fans provides some insight into how organizers are attempting to maintain trust with their community during the pause. The decision to postpone reflects awareness that audience trust matters just as much as ambitious lineups. The rollover incentive also signals confidence in the festivals plans for its eventual return.

Though still relatively young in the national festival circuit, Cascade Equinox steadily build a reputation within the Pacific Northwest through its mix of electronic, jam and indie focused programming. Previous editions featured artists including Big Gigantic, Zen Selekta, Disclosure, Boogie T, and Passion Pit for a DJ set.

From interactive classes to healing and wellness focused workshops, Cascade Equinox has consistently emphasized creativity and connection. The decision to take additional time before returning reflects how much care organizers place into shaping every layer of the festival experience.

For now, Cascade Equinox is stepping away from the 2026 calendar in favor of additional preparation time behind the scenes. Organizers say work towards the 2027 edition is already underway as they prepare for a return to Central Oregon.

My name is Alejandra Benitez and I was born and raised in the DMV. Having close proximity to Washington D.C. means I am accustomed to a fast paced environment as things are constantly changing. For me, the EDM scene has provided so much comfort and space to really find myself even amongst chaos. My first ever show was Zeds Dead and it truly changed my outlook on community and further affirmed my love for music. I am a basshead at heart but enjoy exploring new genres and artists. Being a writer for Exron has given me an amazing opportunity to learn more about the electronic music industry and I love being able to express myself creatively. Some of my favorite artists include Levity, Rezz, Tape B, Disco Lines, and Sub Focus.
