Washington DC nightlife guide for Project GLOW Festival

Project Glow keeps the momentum going with official afterparties and nightlife experiences throughout D.C.

The district is gearing up for its fifth edition of Project Glow. With a stacked lineup, and another massive weekend planned for the RFK Festival Grounds, Project Glow is setting up for another unforgettable year.

Once the fireworks have gone off and the crowds begin pouring out of the venue, the lingering question becomes: where do we go next? Luckily, Glow’s official afterparty schedule is already giving fans plenty of options with events announced at venues including Echostage, Zebbie’s Garden, and Transmission.

As expected, Echostage remains one of the biggest draws to the weekend. The legendary D.C. venue has long been a staple of the East Coast EDM scene and consistently lands major festival talent throughout the year. During Glow weekend, Echostage often becomes an extension of the festival itself, now backed by recently upgraded production.

Still relatively new to the city’s nightlife scene, Transmission has quickly started building a reputation among local electronic music fans. While it may not yet carry the legacy of some longtime D.C. institutions, its inclusion in the Glow afterparty lineup shows how quickly it is becoming part of the city’s growing EDM landscape.

Meanwhile, Zebbie’s Garden offers a completely different experience. Located in Dupont Circle, one of D.C.’s most active nightlife hubs, the venue places festivalgoers directly in the heard of a Saturday night crowd extending beyond the EDM community. Getting around the city after the festival is also relatively convenient thanks to D.C.’s Metro system. The Metro operates until 2 a.m. on Saturday nights and until midnight on Sundays making it a low cost option for attendees.

Outside of the official afterparties, D.C.‘s electronic music scene has no shortage of venues worth exploring. Spots like Flash, Culture, AI Warehouse, and newer venue Berhta have become familiar names for local fans over the years. Glow weekend may revolve around the official afterparties, but for visitors wanting to experience the city’s electronic sence more, there are plenty of venues worth exploring.
