Inside Morocco’s 2026 music festival scene

As Morocco becomes a hot travel destination, this also includes festivals with desert beats, Atlantic sunsets, and shocking lineups.

Morocco has been considered North Africa’s most exciting travel destination alongside Egypt and Tunisia. With sprawling city spectacles in Rabat and Casablanca to boutique escapes along the coast of Essaouira, and the palm-lined energy of Marrakesh, the country gives the game vibes as Ibiza and Mykonos. Whether travelers are fans of jazz, pop, or sunrise house sets, Morocco offers the festival itinerary nobody can escape from.

Mawazine has been considered the Lollapalooza of Morocco. Spread across multiple stages in Rabat, the gig blends Arabic pop with mainstream artists into a citywide celebration. Previous editions have welcomed names such as The Weeknd, Calvin Harris, Central Cee, and Burna Boy. Their 2026 edition promises to keep the big-stage energy intact.

In Casablanca, Melomania carves out space for the EDM fans. The event leans toward alternative electronic, indie, and forward-thinking live acts, creating a more intimate counterpoint to Morocco’s giant festival scene. Building a reputation around discovery rather than pure scale, they also bring together artists in the scene, such as Blond:ish, Ben Böhmer, Jayda G, and DJ Tennis, to light up the scene

Also in Casablanca, Timeless Festival returns in 2026 with a concept that caters more to hardstyle fans. The festival brings those same acts from Defqon, where for every song playing, it’ll be way over 145 bpm and nothing but rumbling bass. Its appeal has come from that balance between a. targeted. theme and the artists that build the momentum.

Iconically, Jazzablanca has remained one of Morocco’s most polished urban experiences. Known for bringing jazz, soul, funk, and crossover acts to elegant open-air settings, it has become a favorite for travelers who want musical depth. Past lineups have featured Snarky Puppy, Ibrahim Maalouf, and Parcels. Jazzablanca itself not only sounds pleasing in the setting, but this is where fans with a rich taste in music would lounge and listen to!

On Morocco’s Atlantic coast, MOGA Festival delivers one of North Africa’s most atmospheric electronic gatherings. Set between ocean air and ancient medina walls in Essaouira, it has fused beach culture, wellness programming, and underground house music. Previous years hosted Bonobo, Dixon, and Honey Dijon. Sunset has become part of the production design, which gives perfect Mediterranean vibes.
