Disney signs Toddler Techno’s Lenny Pearce for new animated project

Disney brings electronic music to younger audiences through new family rave-inspired animated projects.

Electronic music has spent decades evolving, but Lenny Pearce has managed to push the genre somewhere entirely unexpected. The Australian DJ and producer behind the viral Toddler Techno movement is now stepping into a new chapter after signing a deal with Disney for an upcoming animated project.

The concept for the project came from his own experience as a parent, blending familiar childhood sounds with playful dance production. Instead of separating family from rave culture, Pearce found a way to merge the two into something that resonates with both children and adults.

Disney’s catalog already connects with generations of families, and combining those familiar songs with electronic production introduces dance music to kids at a very young age. As electronic music continues to grow beyond clubs and festivals, collaborations like this show how far the genre’s reach has become.

For many parents who grew up attending festivals or listening to house and techno, Pearce’s events create a rare opportunity to share that environment with their children in a space designed for them. Now there exists a space for parents to share musical experiences with their children in a way that is appropriate and brings new life to beloved tunes.

Pearce’s momentum has carried him onto global stages. His Toddler Techno concept has expanded into an international tour, with larger shows including an upcoming performance at Red Rocks Amphitheater later this summer. In June, he will be bringing a family rave to one of dance music’s most iconic venues before setting off on a world tour.

As electronic music continues redefining itself across generations, Pearce is carving out a lane few artists saw coming. The Disney collaboration is set to bring new takes on classic songs while introducing children to electronic music long before their first festival experiences.

My name is Alejandra Benitez and I was born and raised in the DMV. Having close proximity to Washington D.C. means I am accustomed to a fast paced environment as things are constantly changing. For me, the EDM scene has provided so much comfort and space to really find myself even amongst chaos. My first ever show was Zeds Dead and it truly changed my outlook on community and further affirmed my love for music. I am a basshead at heart but enjoy exploring new genres and artists. Being a writer for Exron has given me an amazing opportunity to learn more about the electronic music industry and I love being able to express myself creatively. Some of my favorite artists include Levity, Rezz, Tape B, Disco Lines, and Sub Focus.
