Fans camp out for multiple nights to score Subtronics merch ahead of Red Rocks headline

The Cyclops Army is showing up in a big way for what will be Subtronics’ last Red Rocks run for the foreseeable future.

A video circulating on social media shows fans camped outside for multiple nights in a row just to get first access to Subtronics merch ahead of Cyclops Rocks VI. For anyone surprised by this, you clearly haven’t been paying attention. Subtronics, the Philadelphia-born producer and dubstep heavyweight behind Cyclops Records and multiple releases, has been consistently paving his way in the dance music scene for the last decade.

Cyclops Rocks VI takes place April 23 and 24 at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado. Subtronics has confirmed this will be his last Cyclops Rocks at Red Rocks for the foreseeable future, making the two nights a proper sendoff for one of the most consistent events in bass music. That 2021 debut is worth noting. Subtronics became the first artist to headline Red Rocks at full capacity following the pandemic shutdown, and what started as a landmark show turned into an annual tradition that sells out every year. The multi-day merch pop-up has grown into its own event alongside it.

This year also marks one of the strongest stretches of his career, following his FIBONACCI album and a record-breaking turnout at Coachella for his set. Subtronics has been critical in delivering bass music to the masses at a mainstream level. Having over 100,000 attendees at a multi-genre music festival like Coachella would have felt like blasphemy just a few years ago. His two-night run at Red Rocks features Hedex, Cyclops, Mythm, Gardella, and St. Mary. Night two brings KOAN Sound, Effin, Dennett, Rohaan, and Klo. Fans sleeping outside for days to grab merch at the final chapter of Cyclops Rocks says everything about where Subtronics stands in the dance scene right now, which is on a much-deserved pedestal.
