Damian Lazarus celebrates 2 years sober with family and friends in Bali

Damian Lazarus has celebrated two years of sobriety, reflecting on personal growth, gratitude, and his continued presence in the global dance music scene.

Damian Lazarus is celebrating a personal milestone, marking two years of sobriety while staying active in the global dance scene. The DJ and Crosstown Rebels founder has been a steady name in house and techno, known for his events and long sets around the world.

In a recent Instagram caption, he wrote: “** 2 YEARS SOBER ** Today I’m celebrating 2 years of clean living.” The message is direct and honest, setting the tone for a post that looks back on his journey.

He shared that he started the day at a meeting in Bali, surrounded by close friends, some attending their first AA or NA meeting. He wrote, “Friends and family have helped me so much over the last 730 days and I am forever grateful.”

At the meeting, the group spoke about resentment and the need to look inward instead of blaming others. Lazarus explained that in addiction, it’s easy to shift blame, but “most of the time these thoughts are not justified. The problem is usually you.”

He also reflected on where he is now, writing that he’s “grateful to be alive and healthy” and to be in Bali creating something special with his team. He thanked Elisa and his kids for their “undying, death defying love” and shared the moment with fans who traveled to be there.

He closed by offering support to others, saying people can reach out if they’re struggling and he’ll respond when he can. “Today I feel mighty real,” he wrote, ending the post on a grounded note and reinforcing how important this moment is for him.
