Dr. Fresch honors his younger brother Tim 10 years after his death

Dr. Fresch honors his brother with an emotional tribute that shows how loss still shapes his life a decade later.

A decade can dull the edges of grief, but it rarely erases it. For Dr. Fresch, the loss of his younger brother Tim still echoes just as loudly 10 years later. In a heartfelt social media tribute shared April 13, the DJ posted a collage of childhood photos alongside a message marking the anniversary of Tim Fresch’s passing. The caption read, “RIP TIM FRESCH 8.14.93-4.13.16,” setting the tone for a deeply personal reflection.

“Ten years ago today my little brother Tim died. MY life has never been the same without him,” the post begins. From there, the tribute shifts from grief to remembrance, painting a vivid picture of who Tim was beyond the loss.

“As profoundly sad as losing someone too early can be, I think it’s important to celebrate Timmy and everything he stood for,” he wrote. “He was an incredible friend with a mission to lift up everyone around him. He had an incredible smile and a laugh that filled up the room.”

The memories are both tender and playful. “Every single day with the guy turned into a historical event lol,” he added, capturing a personality that left a lasting impression on those around him. Tim, he said, had “quite the sense of humor” and a love for life’s simple joys, from sports to music.

“He was a real team player with a passion for football, hockey, Reggae, and Chief Keef,” the post reads, adding that Tim “loved our family deeply and wanted to be a family man himself one day.”

The tribute ends with an open invitation for others to remember him, too. “If you knew or every met my brother, please share some memories of the big man today, and every day,” he wrote. “I know he’d be happy that we’re laughing and smiling for him.” Even after 10 years, the message is clear: Tim’s presence endures in memory, music and the moments still shared in his name.

I've been writing, covering events, and doing interviews with Exron for nearly four years, but have been an EDM-lover for over a decade. The music community and industry has a special place in my heart and I love exploring the depths. EDC Las Vegas is my favorite festival and this year will be my sixth time attending. Some other recent festivals I've been are Ultra, Elements, Lost Lands, Electric Forest, and Arc. I've been getting more into experimental bass, but techno and house will always have my heart. <3
